Canberra Garden Guide brings local growing advice and practical garden jobs into one place. Read a guide, make a plan and, when you want help doing the work, send an enquiry to a named local provider.

## Useful advice before a sales conversation

The site is for people who enjoy their gardens, people learning how to look after one and people who need help keeping up. You can read the guides and use the checklists without entering contact details.

We focus on questions where location matters: planting around frost risk, checking Canberra’s watering rules and deciding which garden job to tackle this season. Where the answer depends on your plant, grass or property, we say so.

## How the guides are put together

Our editorial approach combines practical explanations with links to local gardening organisations, public authorities and relevant specialist sources. Supplier advice is identified as such; linking to it is not an endorsement of every product or claim.

We use AI to assist with research, drafting and site production. A citation lets you check the source; it does not imply that the source organisation has reviewed or endorsed this guide. We do not claim horticultural qualifications, site inspections or firsthand trials that have not taken place.

Check dates appear on the guides. They record when sources were checked, rather than promising that a rule or weather condition cannot change. For current restrictions or plant-specific instructions, follow the linked original guidance.

## How the site is funded

The site has a commercial purpose as well as an editorial one: connecting people who need garden work with providers who can do it. Our initial referral arrangement is with a family-connected garden-care business.

We may receive payment from providers for referrals as the service grows. We will identify the recipient before you send your details. A gardening article is not a ranking of providers, and this site does not currently offer a comparison of competing quotes.
